Paul Mitchell just launched their new Fall 2009 Collection: Metamorphosis, which has been described as a Salvador Dali and Stan Lee inspired collection, where surrealism meets animé.
The shapes and textures of the hair are out there, nothing that any person would wear for commercial purposes, and the artistry in the photos are bold, mixing black on white, with pale faces and dark lips.
To create the textured looks of the collection, hair was prepped with Paul Mitchell Quick Slip™, then molded into rolls and extended shapes with Paul Mitchell Worked Up™ and Extra-Body Finishing Spray®. Paul Mitchell Illuminating Shine Spray® was finally misted over the final looks to
add a radiant shine.
Well today at 2pm, she is chopping off a good 12″ of hair for Wigs 4 Kids.
The new cut?
The Taylor Momsen Shag!!
I think it will be perfect for Stef. Her and Taylor both have fine, straight hair. These layers all over give the hair a look of more fullness, which Stef really needs once her hair is gone. She can also still wear it in a little ponytail if she really needs to.
EDIT: We chopped it!!!
I was so AMAZED by how much texture her hair got once I chopped it. I always thought Stef’s hair was straight straight straight and thin. It would never get volume or curl no matter how hard I tried. Once I chopped it off, immediate curl and thickness. I was so suprised!
Stef couldn’t be happier with her new hair. And with 4 ponytails of eleven inches each, she is going to make a child very happy, too.
This girl has had just as many hair colors as I have in the past year or two… So why don’t we just have a little looksie and decide which is our favorite? I won’t tell mine until I get at least 5 answers!
